Capturing Memories

I created a frame with a sea theme for the BBA's Monthly Challenge. I had the kids help me which meant that when we were done I realized that we decorated the front of the frame upside down from how the back of the frame is meant to stand.

I will figure out that hiccup later.

And I cannot find the word I wanted to add to the top of the frame. It is probably in one of their rooms...

My parents live by the water so the kids already have memories involving water, bathing suits, and the sun. Now, I just have to add the photo. And maybe find that word.

QUESTION: What is one of your childhood memories?

I love everything about this frame. The whales in love, the little boat, the swirly waves. It's so CUTE!!
Is the stand at the back fixed? I did that once too, soI removed the stand and attached it to the other side ;-)

I have to fix it still but that is what I am going to do! The problem with letting little ones help is that it is so easy to miss those details:)

Very cute and great challenge project! When stuff like that happens, it makes a memory in the "kid's helping out" album : ) Love that little sailboat!

The frame looks great! I had to laugh at it being upside down...I've engraved frames upside down before!
The kids will love seeing their picture in it :)

That turned out very cute Erika! It's cute that it's upside down too - gives it more meaning even though no one will ever know.

Great project! Not only will you have the photo as a memory, but every time you look at the frame, you'll remember that you did it with the kids.

maybe the photo that you pick will give you a hint on the word! Very cute - it will look great on the wall. {:-D

Since you bring up water, some of my strongest childhood memories involve going to the beach for vacation. I would play in the sand and water all day.
Your frame is wonderful and how great that you made it with the kids--a memory in itself!

This frame is adorable! I would have never noticed it was upside down if you hadn't told me. I think it looks great.

Love the lifesaver! ; ) My favorite childhood memory related to water was staying at my Grandparent's cabin on a creek. There were big smooth rocks to ride the creek on and crawdads to find in crevices... water bugs skipping across...
