Running to Dreams

Yesterday, I admitted to a group of people that following a dream is not easy. The road is bumpy with cracks and sometimes the path curves around bends where you can't determine where you are going. I am not as interested in following a dream if it is not my calling. And when you have questions it is easy to give up.

Then, I found a photo of my daughter running at the zoo and was inspired.

I painted a canvas, glued a copy of the picture, recycled a dryer sheet by gluing it down for texture (and to simulate the tough going of following a dream), and stamped the letters.
QUESTION: Are you running to or from a dream?

Love the photo of your daughter - and the way you turned it into an inspirational art piece.

I've hit some serious speed bumps this summer, but I'm still jogging toward my dream.

I already admired this photo of your daughter when you posted it on your previous blog. I just LOVE how you altered it on the canvas! Amazing. And I love the handstamped letters :)

I'm running toward a dream that only recently evolved, weird huh?

This is wonderful! The colors are so layered and deep and vibrant. What a gift to your daughter some day... or for you to look at as an old lady and see that you gave your daughter wings!

Wow. That piece turned out stunning! And you are right- it is a bumpy road, but at least you are on it!

A dryer sheet! How ingenious! The picture is perfect for your project, and a perfect one to hang as a reminder. Sometimes I feel like I'm running sideways, even backwards, but always toward.

Love your canvas and what a cool idea with the dryer sheet.
Sometimes I run to and sometimes from my dreams. I always did have a problem with figuring out if I was coming or going :)
