She knows how to use an old gift card to spread paint.

She likes to use markers and watercolors.

She demonstrated to me yesterday that she knows how to use a brayer to adhere paper.
She specifically asked if she could use the umbrella from a snow cone for her artwork. She added the letters after she saw me writing on my journal art pages.

Oh man...that's really awesome! I'm SO happy that she has a mom like you, and that you have a kid like her! That's amazing to think about, isn't it?
It's so wonderful that your kids are so creative and are learning so much from you! I actually had to look up what a brayer is so your daughter knows lots more than I do! :) She is doing a wonderful job with her journal pages too!
It looks like your daughter inherited your creativity :)
Being a creative idiot while I love this post....I have to go "Google" Brayer!
But i am going to bookmark this site to come back to as I bet I will find some good ideas here for activities with my young grandkids! :)
Like Mother Like Daughter!!!! Wonderful way to spend time together in creating something very special...art and memories! Well done.
That is so inspiring! I love her letters page.
What a neat thing to share with her...
What fun! I have made ACEOs with my two older grandchildren and we all had so much fun. Unless I am coloring with the little ones (grins) watercolor is my absolute favorite creative medium.
how fun! you are a great mom and an inspiration to your daughter. keep up the great artwork.
Children doing artwork really excites me. With cutbacks and such in the public school system it scares me that it will be a lost craft. You can tell her I love her work! I love photography and believe that my short stories are the closest that I can come to my enjoyable art that I do. I love paintings and such but sadly I don't have the talent to create what I see in my mind.
What fun that you and your daughter can enjoy art together! My favorite medium is fabric.
She's got talent Mama! I love how she thought to add the umbrella to her page :)
You're such a great mother for encouraging her to express her artistic abilities :)

i love paper, i have done a great deal of collage work with paper and vintage photos over the years.
I think it is fabulous that she is taking an interest both in creating art as well as in what her mama is doing... This is so wonderful!

Her pages are wonderful. How cool for the two of you to have that special bond through being creative. That's awesome!
Love the creativity.
OK, I'm definitely doing this with Noli!!
Aren't kid's creations wonderful?!
How much fun for her! I can tell she loves doing this!
I'm so glad that you are giving your daughter these opportunities to explore art. Once she gets older, art will become more directed, maybe less enjoyable in a school setting. Hopefully she'll have instructors with an open attitude!
Bravo for you!
I love this!
What an amazing gift to give your children...the power of possibility...the joy of imagination!
This entire post made me smile and warmed my heart!
I absolutely love that you're doing this!
